This project was a DVD release of SNL’s greatest guest musical performances for the first 25 years of the show. We remixed the multitracked recordings in 5.1 surround while synched to the video of those performances. I worked with Jay Vicarri the long-time sound mixer for SNL and Stacey Foster who was the technical consultant for SNL at the time. When we started pushing audio up on the faders and routing audio to the surround channels, Stacey Foster was on the phone in the vestibule, walked in with a big smile on his face and commented- ‘It sounds like 8H!’
